Our Story

Elefpi Learnscapes was founded in 2016 to advance and sustain the work in making studying simple and easy.

Building upon the earlier work by our founder, our core team of facilitators continue to expand and refine the inventory of study skills and techniques.

Elefpi Learnscapes is named after our flagship programme – the Learning Facilitation Programme. ‘Elefpi’ is derived from el-ef-pi as in the acronym, L-F-P.

The idea of Learnscapes came from the impetus to create any place or space, including virtual ones, into a learning environment. A Learnscape depicts a wide view of learning.

The Learning Facilitation Programme was conceptualised in 2003 as an alternative to tuition programmes that aim to improve academic performance.

Instead of tutoring students in specific subjects, LFP aims to impart study skills from our 22 Essential Study Skills to students and adopt the method of facilitation to help students achieve their desired outcomes of education.

Starting with one LFP session in 2015 that led to its founding, Elefpi Learnscapes has been invited to share our study skills development programmes overseas, to Australia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar and Indonesia.

Just before the COVID-19 pandemic travel restrictions were enforced, we were engaged to enable a private education institution in Indonesia to offer our LFP and study skills development programmes.

Elefpi Learnscapes suspended operations in the immediate post-pandemic period and resumed operations in November 2024 with the new direction – “Habituating Study Skills for Life”.

Our Approach

Our 12 Instruments of Clarifying Understanding enable students to clarify and develop understanding on their own. We impart to students only the relevant instruments that suit their unique needs.
